Sofa<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This shop has a great deal of visual stimuli and is located in the pedestrian street outside the Grand Bazaar when exiting through the Nuruosmaniye Gate.
The personal selection by Ka\u015fif G\u00fcndo\u011fdu, is modestly described as \u201cjust a drop of the ocean\u201d, quoting the words of the poet Ziya Pa\u015fa:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The things I chose are a drop, no more; the undiminished sea still crowds the shore.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the objects are small ceramic domes, surmounted by the crescent called alem and painted with the city skyline or the creative kaftan shaped lamp bases.
There are also prints, textiles, examples of calligraphy and miniatures, jewelry made from old coins and examples of contemporary Turkish art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shop of Dursun Aks\u00e7ahin offers a selection of quality and affordable ceramics, including ceramic kaftans that are so evocative of Turkish culture as well as a large selection of Ikat fabric for those wishing to make beautiful pillows or even design an outfit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a sophisticated Turkish brand that produces limited editions of objects, textiles and jewelry inspired in the Anatolian civilizations, but with a contemporary esthetic. A seven floor flagship design store has recently opened in the trendy district of Ni\u015fanta\u015f\u0131. Located on Abdi Ipek\u00e7i Cad. Bostan Sok. 8, we recommend the new shop on Nuruosmaniye with a whole fashion floor and a nice rooftop restaurant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As \u015eisko is now an elderly gentleman, the business is run by the family and the friendly Cemal who is the manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They have a good stock and the owner, Celal Belli, is very friendly but a tough dealer, so be ready for a bargaining challenge!\nThe shop is opposite the Gate Nuruosmaniye on the left side, and their warehouse is a little further down the street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
